Kevin Pirie has won the gents club championship for the fourth time, Beating Alan Petrie 21-6 in the final. Kevin picked up a four in the first end and raced into a 16-2 lead, Alan managed to get a few more shots on the board near the end but Kevin managed to get the final shots on the board. Well done Kevin and best of luck in the Champion of Champions which starts next week.

The 40th Whitehall Invitation pairs tournament is now under way, Qualifying results and news are in the tournament section of the website, the draws for the final stages of the ladies tournament are also updated.

Marion Nicolson won the ladies championship for the second year in a row defeating Lorraine Mearns in the final. Well done Marion.

Mike Mearns, Bill Blackwood and Duncan Nicolson retained their nomination triples title defeating Andy Hughson, Bob Logan and Kevin Philip in the final, Congratulations to them.

Whitehall finished runnners up again in the top 10 losing to Northen 6-2 in the final.

Congratulations to Kevin Pirie who won the Bon-Accord singles title, After beating Abergeldie's Steve Brownlie 21-5 in the Semi final the previous evening, Kevin played Polmuir's Martyn Orchard in the final on Wednesday night. The final score was 21-12. Well done Kevin. The gents have also been having a good run in the top 10 competition, they play Polmuir in the semi finals on the 21st of July at Newhills, here's hoping they can go one better than last year where they finished as runners-up.

Congratulations to the Whitehall gents fours team who won the district fours final at Polmuir In what proved to be a thrilling final few ends. After losing a 6 in the 14th end it looked like the rink of Derek Freeland, Colin Mathers, Kevin Philip and skip Kevin Pirie were heading for defeat, but they fought back well with a 2, 1 and a 2 in the last end to tie things up to force an extra end. In a tense extra end they managed to get the shot required and will now be representing district 4 in the Scottish Championships. We wish them the best of luck in Ayr.

The Whitehall ladies senior fours team made it through to the District Finals in the Scottish last week at Inverbervie. The team of Sheena Shearer, Irene Hosie, Heather MacGeorge and Hazel Hewitt did well to reach the final but lost out to Cults 20 to 11. Whitehall were also represented in the ladies singles final when Marion Nicolson played Karen Murray of Cults in the final, unfortunately she also lost out losing 21 to 6. Hard lines ladies.

The final of the clubfours has been played, The weather could only be described as "changeable" as the teams played in glorious sunshine one minute and then torrential rain the next. It was a close game all the way through before Gerry Williams team edged out Norman Shearer's rink 12-8. Congratulations to Brian Donald, Peter Sim, Duncan Mcgillivray and Gerry on winning the first competition of the season.
