It was third time unlucky for the gents top 10 team, they lost to Westhill in the final by a score of 6-2. The gents were also runners up in the Friday night fours league finishing second to Kittybrewster. There was better new however as the Whitehall gents won the triples league for the third season in a row, they also won the seniors league. 

Derek Freeland is the new club champion, After defeating Mike Mearns in the championship final. Colin Mathers and Alex Badenoch won the nomination pairs after defeating Ian Anderson and Ross Gemmell. The triple of Mike Mearns, Bill Blackwood and Duncan Nicolson regained their nomination triples title. 

Congratulations to to the Whitehall triple of Mike Mearns, Bill Blackwood and Duncan Nicolson who won the District 4 triples final. After taking an early lead against the Seafield triple they never looked back and secured a comfortable victory, they will now head to the National Championships in Ayr where we wish them the best of luck. 

We are pleased to announce the draw for the 2014 Whitehall Invitation Pairs Tournament has now been carried out and is now available to in the Tournament section of the website, detail of the Scotland Elite players taking part are also listed in the Tournament news section. 


Whitehall are represented in the District 4 finals of this years Scottish qualifiers. The triple of Mike Mearns, Bill Blackwood and Duncan Nicolson face Tom Johnston's Seafield triple in the triples final, we wish them the very best of luck in the final to be held Thursday 19th of June at Kittybrewster Bowling Club - ties start at 7pm.

The green has officially been openened for the 2014 bowling season, there was a healthy turnout and members enjoyed a nice sunny day to start the new bowling season, after extensive work during the winter the green is looking in great shape which is a testiment to the hard work that Gordon and his team have been putting in. Competition entry forms are posted on the club notice board and draw sheets are being added to the website as they are drawn. The teams selected for the Scottish are also on the notice board.
